Pre-1900 William McKinley & Garrett Hobart Elephant Lapel Stud

This is a William McKinley and Garrett Hobart lapel stud. Vice President Hobart would die in office in 1899, as would McKinley during his second term two years later.

Circa 1897-1899.

About 3/4" in diameter.

Gold-plated copper with black enamel detail and gold elephant detail.

Stud-back for inserting into lapel button hole.
