Description
This is a Philippine occupation period Stetson hat used by the United States Army, along with insignia dating through World War I. The hat has a golden cord with tassels resembling acorns. The insignia include a patch with blue and white diagonal stripes, two chevron patches, two US pins, a 4th Battalion pin, two A pins with two 1 and 5 pins, four ribbon bars (one with six stars) and various buttons.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1900s Ð World War I.
SIZE:Items are of various sizes: hat is around size 7 or 7 1/4.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Hat: wool with silk hatband, cotton cord, leather interior band; patches: felt with either felt or silk tape ribbon and cotton/silk threads; silk-wrapped brass bars, brass buttons and insignia.

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Very minor spot of wear on hat cord and beneath brim; all other pieces show light to medium wear.
