ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1960 set of Christian Dior "Karatclad" cufflinks. "Karatclad" is the trademarked name for an electroplating process in which the plate is 14 times thicker than standard electroplating, promoting an increased resistance to tarnish. Each link is oval with a rope-design border and a textured cross-hatched face.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960.

SIZE:

Approximately 1/2" length and 5/8" width (each link).

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

"Karatclad" gold-plated.
