ARTIFACT:
This offering is for ONE, original, FINE condition (some edge moth nips, one hole, unused, WWII British Army Paratrooper Badge / Wing, from an uncut bundle of 12, which came from a United States Army OSS ( Office of Strategic Services ) Captain's estate.
We've had these for almost 20 years with no takers on the uncut bundle, and many requests for an individual badge, so they are coming apart now. The images of the bundle together are for reference, to show where they came from.
The British Paratroopers saw equal success and loss during the war and were instrumental during many major operations.
Immediately following the end of WWII, the 1st Allied Airborne was tasked with disarming the still strong, German occupation army and supervising their surrender during Operation Norway in 1945.
We only have ONE of these wings available in this lesser condition.
