Description
This is a set of two pieces; a pin and a charm, both made of bronze, for the St. Barnabus Guild for Nurses. Both pieces are in the shape of an oval with a pierced fluer-de-lis-ed cross at center. The pin says at center on the arms of the cross "BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL" and around the outer edge GUILD OF SAINT BARNABUS FOR NURSES. The charm reads on one side BLESSED ARE THE MERCIFUL and GUILD OF ST. BARNABUS FOR NURSES 1886 on the reverse.
VINTAGE:Ca. 1920's-30's.
SIZE:Pin: Approx. 3/4" in width by 1" in height. Charm: Approx. 15/16" in width by 1-5/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Pin: Vertical pin-back with "drop-in" style locking catch. Charm: ring at top for suspending from a necklace.
