ARTIFACT: This is a numbered badge for the US 326th Fighter Group, 1st Air Force, a training unit for P-47 pilots. The badge shows a winged cockatrice on a field of azure and reads 326TH FIGHTER GROUP 1450.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 2-1/16" diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin .

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: N/A.
