This is a nice United States Army Air Forces 404th Fighter Group, 9th Air Force patch. It reads IGNE FERROQUE HOSTEM ARMATUM CONTERE (With fire and steel crush the armored foe) and shows the remnants of a slaughtered knight.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 4-3/4"e; in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped leather with painted detail.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto garment.
MARKINGS:None.
