ARTIFACT: This is a nice World War II United States Army Air Forces 528th Bomb Squadron, 380th Bomb Group, 5th Air Force patch. The 528th flew B-24s in the Pacific Theatre. They were in Australia 1943-1944, at Mindanow in 1944 and Okinawa in 1945. The patch shows the 528th mascot Herky The Clown straddling a missile while toting a smoking weapon.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: About 5-1/4"e; in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted leather.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto garment.

MARKINGS: None.
