Description
This is a nice World War II Krim (Crimea) shield on field grey wool. The shield has a salty look and was probably removed from a uniform. The Krim shield was awarded to wounded German soldiers who served at least three months and participated in one major battle in the Crimea between September 1941 and July 1942.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-7/8" in height and 2-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass, wool, paper.
ATTACHMENT:Four bendable prongs.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The shield is salty, with some areas of light to medium tarnishing and some parts of the paper backing missing.
