This is a used, salty circa early World War II shoulder patch for the United States Army Air Forces China Air Task Force (CATF). The patch is Chinese-made and shows a winged tiger under a white and red star. The CATF replaced the 1st American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers") and was the precursor to the 14th Air Force.
VINTAGE:Circa early World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/12" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton embroidered in cotton/silk thread.
