Nice Old circa 1940 "Stock" City Marshal 6 Point Star by W. S. Darley

ARTIFACT:

This is an circa 1940 "stock" City Marshal 6-point star. This well worn badge has a great look, although it does have a broken pin. It is possible the badge was made for Film or Television Studio use, since it was made at such a late date in the scheme of things. 

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940.

SIZE:

About 2-1/4" in width by 2-1/2" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel with black painted lettering.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with a "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

W. S. DARLEY & CO. CHICAGO 12.

CONDITION:

6 (Fine+): The badge shows some minor to moderate wear and tarnishing; some of the black paint has worn from the lettering; part of pin is missing.
