This is a nice, large 1960s patch for the United States Navy's supercarrier USS Saratoga CV-60. It reads U.S.S. SARATOGA INVICTUS GALLUS GLADIATOR (Victorious Fighting Cock) and shows a rooster above a crown and trident.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960s.
SIZE:6-1/8" height and 4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully embroidered white patch in multi-colored cotton/silk threads.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Navy collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. TRBJX10 LEJX6/10 SEJX5/14
CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Patch shows almost no wear and wonderful coloration.
