ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful circa 1954-1956 pilot hat badge by Metal Arts Company for North American Airlines. The airline was part of the North American Aircoach System, and flew out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). In 1956, it changed its name to Trans American Airlines.

VINTAGE: Circa 1954-1956.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 3-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing, two stabilization posts.

MARKINGS: MACO (Metal Arts Company) mark.
