ARTIFACT: Nice 1930's – 1940's New York City Transit System Employee Badge. The center of the round badge features the number: "2240" and surrounding it reads: "NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT SYSTEM" in black painted detail with a black ring embellishment around the outer edge.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's – 1940's

SIZE: Approximately 2" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel plated brass, black paint

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a transportation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX16 LFJX6/16

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The badge shows moderate wear, much of the painted and plated details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
