Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Nazi Navy chief petty officer metal hat wreath as used on U-boats. The wreath is a red, silver and black cockade with gold leaves.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s - World War II.

SIZE:

About 2-9/16" in height x 2-7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted aluminium and wool, cotton backing.

ATTACHMENT:

To be sewn onto a uniform cap.

MARKINGS:

None.
