Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Model 1935 Italian Air Force dress uniform shoulder board for a Navigator Lieutenant. The board has a braided border and a large crown and star upon the wool portion.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1935.

SIZE:

Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Wool-wrapped, embroidered in silk and bullion thread with bullion braid, gilt brass, cloth backing.

ATTACHMENT:

Button riveted on, strap missing.

MARKINGS:

None.
