ARTIFACT:

This is a great World War II USAAF Type A-9 Flight Pilot's Helmet. This is a size large helmet, made of cotton and wool, with leather straps. This is put on either as a standalone helmet, or worn under the standard steel pilot's helmets for added warmth and comfort.

Approximately 10" x 8"

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton, wool, leather, and steel.

ATTACHMENT:

Steel clips to steel helmet, leather chin strap
