ARTIFACT: This is a minty and early award fob for the AMA's "Gypsy Tour". Gypsy Tours officially began in 1917 under the Federation of American Motorcyclists, and were fun outings where bikers would travel great distances toward a common rendezvous point. The AMA took over the Gypsy Tours in 1925, so this fob is from the second year of the organization's involvement. The fob sports the AMA's tri-color logo, inspired by an ancient Buddhist symbol.

VINTAGE: Circa 1926.

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" in width and 1-1/2" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Rectangular loop.

MARKINGS: CHILDS CHICAGO.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a motorcycle collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. ebay MCEX11 LCIEX8/11

CONDITION: 9+ (Near Mint-): The fob is minty with some light wear and tarnishing only.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
