ARTIFACT:
Mid - late 19th century oil on canvas. A beautiful piece of art featuring an autumn Adirondack scene, the inspiration for the image could very likely have come from Saranac 6. Saranac Lake in New York features six Adirondack peaks that surround the lake. The work of art has been professionally framed in a nice deep color wood with foil details on the inside border giving it a simple, timeless appeal.

Circa Mid - late 19th C

Approximately 22" x 14" framed Canvas: 20" x 12"
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Oil, canvas, nails, screws, wood, wire, steel.
ATTACHMENT:
Steel brackets (11) and screws to attach canvas to frame, wire for wall hanging.
MARKINGS:
"THE FRAMEMAKERS THE ART CELLAR FRAMING MATTING MOUNTING POSTERS PRINTS ORIGINAL ART 5 SILVER ST. (rear) on the Concourse WATERVILLE 872-8927" and the date: "August, 1985" handwritten in gold pen/ink just beneath framer's label.
