This is a mid - late 1950s 5th Issue Hostess Wing in bullion Continental Airlines. The wing is cloth embroidered in golden bullion thread with an enameled brass lozenge at center showing the Continental Airlines logo.
VINTAGE:Circa mid - late 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" in height and 2-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cotton wrapped cardboard embroidered in bullion threads, gold-plated brass with enamel, wool felt backing.
ATTACHMENT:Two clutchback posts.
ITEM NOTES:This is from an airline company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RGEX9/94 LFGEX1/11 SLDIEX2/11 SCGA/BEX12/13
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The wing is in nice shape with some light to medium tarnish on the bullion.
