ARTIFACT:

This is a circa mid-late 1940s Chicago & Southern Airlines uniform button. Originally founded as Pacific Seaboard Air Lines in 1933, the company changed its name to Chicago & Southern Air Lines in 193Chicago & Southern then merged with Delta in 1953, and operated under the name Delta C&S for two years. The button reads "Dixieliner Service" at the bottom.

VINTAGE:

Circa mid-late 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Button loop.

MARKINGS:

SUPERIOR QUALITY.
