The aikuchi style of knife is made without a hand guard (tsuba). The handle of the dagger is lacquered, and comes in a matching lacquered mount (sheath), which has some delicate areas.

VINTAGE: Circa mid 1800s.

SIZE: Dagger: approximately 11-1/2" in length and 1-3/4" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Dagger: steel, brass, lacquered wood; sheath: lacquered wood.
