ARTIFACT:

This is a circa mid-1960s United States Air Force Convair F-102 Delta Dagger aircraft jacket patch worn by the 317th Fighter Interceptor Squadron. The United States Air Force used the Dagger from 1956 until 1979: the 317th FIS flew them from their debut until the squadron was disbanded in 196The triangular red cotton patch shows the silhouette of the Dagger in white.

VINTAGE:

Circa mid-1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-5/16" in height and 3-1/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Cotton embroidered in cotton/polyester threads, mesh backing.

None.

MARKINGS:

THIS WAS WITH 317 FIS PATCH written on reverse.
