ARTIFACT:
Lovely, small Sami puukko Swedish Laplander knife made of reindeer bone. The bone sheath features stamped reindeer leather, hand-stitched with a hold for attachment and the base shows lovely scrimshaw details on both sides with two nails joining the two sides of the sheath. The scrimshaw details show reindeer with embellishments above and below, the bottom shows a Maltese cross and is dated: "1934". The blade features a bone handle with a short, strong blade meant for cutting trees, bone, and brush that can also withstand cold temperatures.
