Late WWII Air Transport Command (ATC) European Division Cast Aluminum Ashtray Made in Europe

This is a circa late World War II ashtray for the Air Transport Command, European Division. The ashtray is in painted cast aluminum, and was made in Europe.

Circa late World War II.

Overall diameter: 5-1/4"e;Top edge is 5/16"e; deep. Cigarette depression go down another 1/4"e; from the bottom of that edge, for an overall of 13/16"e; drop from the top surface. The inner part of the astray has an external diameter of 3-1/4"e;, and that angels down to a diameter of 2-3/4"e; at the bottom. The height of the area that tapers from larger to smaller on the bottom part of the ashtray is about 9/16".
