This is a circa late 1940s Fire Department (crash crew) badge for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, a now global outfit established in 192The badge is numbered 879.

Circa late 1940s.

Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

Plated brass.

Vertical pin on bar (catch is missing).

879 on front; patent number on bar.
