ARTIFACT:

This is a circa late 1940s lapel pin by L. G. Balfour Company for the New England Electric Service (NEES). Started in 1947, NEES had been previously known as the New England Power Association. The company is now known as National Grid USA. The pin is in sterling silver and is numbered 3288 on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 7/16" in height and 5/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Sterling silver, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

3288 LGB (Balfour mark) STERLING.
