Description
This is a circa late 1940s Coast Guard League hat for a Massachusetts member. Now defunct, the organization's mission was to preserve Coast Guard tradition, honor fallen sailors, and look out for the welfare of USCG veterans and families in need. The hat has a great embroidered upon wool League patch and smaller patches on either side reading 103 and MASS. There is a leather liner and a silk lining inside.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s.
SIZE:Size tag 7-1/8; laid flat the hat measures roughly 11" by 5".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool, wool patches embroidered in cotton/silk thread, cotton lining, leather liner.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The hat has just about no wear and one very small moth bite on the top.
