Description

ARTIFACT:

Great late 1930's Universal City (Universal Studios) California fire department badge by L.A. Stamp & Stationary Co. The center of the badge shows firefighting symbols a helmet, hook, ladder, horn, etc. The top of the badge shows an eagle with wings spread and head bowed and the outer ring reads: "UNIVERSAL CITY FIRE DEPT." with the #3 showing at the very bottom in black painted detail. The reverse shows a maker mark that reads: "L.A. STAMP & STY. CO."

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930's.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" x 1-1/2".

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Chrome-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety style pin with "C" type catch.

MARKINGS:

"L.A. STAMP & STY. CO.

9- (Excellent+): The badge shows minor wear, nearly all of the chrome and black painted details remain, overall excellent condition.
