Description
WWII United States Department of Commerce Maritime Administration Guard Badge. The large shield shaped badge reads: "DEPT. OF COMMERCE" with the letters: "U" and "S" on either side. The center of the badge features a painted merchant marine emblem, US Shield with an anchor in the middle and eagle perched on top. Surrounding it reads: "MARITIME ADMINISTRATION GUARD" in stamped lettering. The base of the badge shows the number: "12". The reverse of the badge shows a period replacement of the pin with clip for ease of wear.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, some of the painted details remain intact, period replacement of pin with clip.
