This is a Korean War era scarf for the United States Air Force 8th Fighter-Bomber Wing, which was assigned to the 5th Air Force and stationed at Itazuke Air Base in Japan. The scarf was made of embroidered pearl gray silk in Japan.
VINTAGE:Circa Korean War.
SIZE:Approximately 14-/4" in width by 40-1/4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silk embroidered in cotton/silk threads.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The scarf has some scattered areas of light discoloration.
