Description
This is a Knights' Templar Pilgrim Commandery, No. 9 badge from Lowell, Massachusetts. Styled upon the ancient group of warrior-gentlemen who protected Christian travelers to the holy Land, the Knights Templar is a modern-day fraternal society under the umbrella of Masonry. The badge is a beautifully enameled Knight's Cross and was worn at the 24th Triennial Conclave in September 1919 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This badge was recently purchased from a man who was breaking up his Lowell collection, and came to us along with a Lowell Knights' Templar badge (please see link at bottom of page for more information - sold separately).
VINTAGE:Circa 1919.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch, suspension ring.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The badge has only some very light wear; all enamel is intact.
