ARTIFACT: This is a Knights' Templar Pilgrim Commandery, No. 9 badge from Lowell, Massachusetts. Styled upon the ancient group of warrior-gentlemen who protected Christian travelers to the holy Land, the Knights Templar is a modern-day fraternal society under the umbrella of Masonry. The badge is a beautifully enameled Knight's Cross and was worn at the 24th Triennial Conclave in September 1919 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This badge was recently purchased from a man who was breaking up his Lowell collection, and came to us along with a Lowell Knights' Templar badge (please see link at bottom of page for more information - sold separately).

VINTAGE: Circa 1919.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-1/2" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with tongue-style catch, suspension ring.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Knight Templar society collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX13 LABEX10/13

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge has only some very light wear; all enamel is intact.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
