ARTIFACT: This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS John C. Calhoun SSBN-630. The patch shows a missile with the words FOR PEACE READY wreathed by laurel leaves and set against a crest. The patch reads USS JOHN C. CALHOUN SSBN 630.

VINTAGE: Circa 1960s.

SIZE: 4-1/8" height and 3-3/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully- embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads.
