ARTIFACT:

This is a Japanese-made patch for the United States Navy's USS Abraham Lincoln SSBN-60The patch shows a globe with a bomb surrounded by fish and a rope border. The patch reads PAX PER TRIDENTEM USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN 602 SUBMARINE U.S. ATLANTIC FLEET.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

6-1/4" height and 5-3/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully- embroidered patch in multi-colored silk/cotton/polyester threads with muslin backing.

MARKINGS:

Attached original label reads ACE NOVELTY BOX 1374 TOKYO JAPAN.
