ARTIFACT:

This is a Japanese-made pocket patch for the United States Marine Corps 1st Marine Aircraft Wing. The patch is roughly diamond-shaped and shows a winged eagle, globe and anchor with the Roman numeral I.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960's

SIZE:

2-5/8" height and 4" width

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Red fully-embroidered patch in black and gold silk/cotton/polyester thread on canvas.

ATTACHMENT:

None.

MARKINGS:

Pencil mark # 4 on reverse.

8 (Excellent-) Patch shows light soiling to reverse only.
