ARTIFACT: This is an important circa 1935 advertising sign for Krueger’s Beer & Ale: the first canned beer! The sign is by American Can Company in eye-catching colors and features a guest appearance by the Newark-based brewery’s “K Man”. The sign touts the small miracle released to the public in Richmond, Virginia on January 24, 1935: beer in “Keglined” cans.

VINTAGE: Circa 1935.

SIZE: Approximately 30” in length and 18” in height.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Painted tin.

ATTACHMENT: Ten holes.

MARKINGS: AMER. CAN CO. N.Y. & CHGO.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a breweriana collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAGEX02 LAAJJX12/11 SLFGEX4/14 SeHEJX8/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The sign has scattered spots of moderate wear.

GUARANTEE: As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
