Description
This is a vintage shoulder patch for American Youth Hostels (AYH), a group started in 1934 in Northfield, Massachusetts. The group was modeled after the German concept from decades earlier of giving young people a pastoral outlet to escape the sometimes unhealthy and stressful urban centers. The patch shows two stars and the letters AYH within a triangle set against a bull's-eye design.
