Description
ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II war worker car tag (license plate) for a United States Navy expeditor in vital war materials from the Polaroid Corporation. X-ray film would have been one of the materials collected. Polaroid was a comparatively fledgling company at the time of the war, having been established in Minnesota in 1937.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Approximately 13" in length and 6-3/8" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Painted galvanized tin.
ATTACHMENT:
Four rectangular slots.

6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The tag has some areas of moderate wear; flaking on reverse.
