This is a great celluloid World War II North American Aviation (NAA) Employee Protection Corps/Civil Defense air raid warden badge. NAA began manufacturing aircraft in 1928, and is credited with several important models such as the F-86 Sabre jet, the B-25 Mitchell bomber and the P-51 Mustang fighter.
Circa World War II.
Approximately 1-1/2” in diameter.
Celluloid-wrapped tin, brass.
Horizontal safety-style pin.
This is from an aviation company collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEJX12 LADEX4/12
7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows some light abrasions and spots of tarnish on reverse.
As with all my items, this piece is guaranteed original.
