This is a great World War II flight instructor wing made by Miller, probably for a civilian contract school in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. The wing has a beautiful blue and white star medallion at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" height and 2-9/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING GORDON B. MILLER & CO. CIN'TI O PAT PEND.
ITEM NOTES:The wing you receive will either be the one pictured or one in similar condition, but slightly different markings on reverse. This is from a civilian aviation collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGEX10 LEDEX1/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some light wear and small areas of tarnishing and all enamel is intact.
