Description
This is a great World War II special deputy sheriff badge for a factory guard at the Simmons Company New Jersey branch. Simmons Company produced parachutes, bazooka rounds and other materiel during the war. The badge is numbered 7, and shows the State of New Jersey seal at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 2-9/16" in height x 1-13/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver plated nickel findings, ilver plated white metal badge body (most plating gone), and gold plated brass seal.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The badge has lost most of the painted lettering and the pin is slightly bent. The badge shows light to medium wear and a moderate tarnish, mostly on the reverse.
