ARTIFACT:
This is a great World War II Boy Scouts of America official uniform shirt with all kinds of insignia! On one shoulder is a "Buffalo" arc and an "83" patch, along with a round BSA patch. The opposite shoulder has a cord embellished snap shoulder tab, along with a keystone (Pennsylvania-related) patch and a "Sparks" 83 patch. On the front of the shirt is a small War Service medal and a War Service patch, a BSA strip, a BSA service medal with 1 and 2 Year bars, another BSA patch and and eight brass stars against wool backings. The collared shirt is in khaki cotton with brown buttons that go down about ¾ of the front. Its size label is faded but this shirt runs large (please see measurements below).

Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Size tag is faded, but this runs large: approximately 23" from armpit to armpit; 31-1/2" length from collar to hem (on reverse); 23" from shoulder seam to cuff; 18-1/2" between shoulders.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Cotton twill, wood and resin buttons, embroidered twill and embroidered wool patches, wool shoulder tab with cord, silk and brass medal, brass and wool stars.
ATTACHMENT:
Buttons; insignia and badge have various attachments.
MARKINGS:
"Boy Scouts of America Official Uniform The Official Boy Scout Seal New York Chicago San Francisco" label.
