Description
This is a World War I German bosta (bomber) squadron photo album. The orange cover has a great sun and clouds design with a colorfully individualized and hand-written inner cover. The first page opposite the cover shows an entire squadron, including their feline mascot (on the shoulder of the man farthest to the right), and each photo page is separated by a page of wonderful spiderweb-print tissue. The aerial photo is most probably of Ghent, as documented by included correspondence from the National Monuments Record. The book is seventeen pages long with only five pages blank, and the majority of the remaining twelve pages have photos mounted on both sides.
