ARTIFACT: This is a great whimsical lamp made from a circa 1930s or 1940s red alarm box (it was converted in the 1970s). The burlap lamp shade has a great large applied cloth fire engine! This is in wonderful condition and still works. There is a switch under the lampshade, but the light can also be turned on and off simply by using the "STOP" and "START" buttons on the box.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s-1940s (converted in 1970s).

SIZE: Approximately 21" in height; base is 7-1/4" by 5-1/4".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted metal, wood, burlap, cloth.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire and rescue related collection that we will be listing more of over the next few months. SHOP MCGX13 LABEX12/13 SABEX12/14

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The lamp has only light wear and the shade has some small areas of minor discoloration.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
