Description
This is a great World War II United States Army Air Forces 1st Troop Carrier Command chained sweetheart pin in sterling silver by Levelle & Co. One pin is a petite winged propeller and one bears a soldier-toting eagle flying above the motto VINCIT QUI PRIMUM GERIT ("he conquers who gets there first").
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:TCC pin: approximately 5/8" in height and 9/16" in width; propeller pin: approximately 5/16" in height and 1/2" in width; chain is about 1-3/4" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated sterling silver, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Pins with drop-in locking catches; chain.
MARKINGS:STERLING on propeller; LEVELLE & CO. WASHINGTON D.C. PHILA. PA. STERLING on TCC pin.
