ARTIFACT: This is a pre-Prohibition celluloid pin advertising the Frank Jones Brewery in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Prohibition lasted from 1920 until 1933). Frank Jones was an iconic figure, businessman and politico in the latter half of the 19th and early 20th century New Hampshire. The pin shows a red crest on a white background and reads ONE OF THE JONES BOYS.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910s.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Celluloid-wrapped tin with paper backing, brass pin.

ATTACHMENT: Straight pin.

MARKINGS: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. BUTTONS, BADGES, NOVELTIES AND SIGNS NEWARK, N.J.

CONDITION: 7 (Very Fine): The pin has some spots of light discoloration on both front and back.
