ARTIFACT:

This is a Great Old 1940’s Chicago Illinois 6-point Star “Pie Plated” Badge # 873 by Hanson.

Probably made circa 1943 – 1944 because of the “Wartime Shortages” material Steel “Saddle” Holding the pin.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately: 3-9/16” in height x 3-1/8” in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated nickel with copper numbers, and a nickel-plated brass pin with steel saddle.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin with oval saddle.
