This is a great United States Army Special Forces license plate "topper". Also known as the "Green Berets", the Special Forces are an elite group specializing in unconventoinal warfare. The center of the topper shows the unit's insignia, an upright sword and three thunderbolts within a spade outline.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s-early 1960s.
SIZE:About 8-1/2" in width by 5" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Cast aluminum with painted detail.
ATTACHMENT:Double screw-holes.
MARKINGS:None.
