ARTIFACT: This is great circa 1900's United States Light House Establishment (USLHE) uniform coat button. This is a large variation of this button, made by the American Button Co. The USLHE, also known as The Bureau of Lighthouses, was a government run agency charged with the upkeep of lighthouses for the US Coast Guard.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900's

SIZE: Approximately 1" in diameter

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Button loop

MARKINGS: "U.S.L.H.E. AMERICAN BUTTON CO. NEWARK."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Coast Guard collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJZ17 LHEX03/17 SHEX07/19

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The button has some wear on it, tarnish on the reverse, but is in overall Very Fine+ condition.
