ARTIFACT: This is a great framed 1923 photograph of the football team for Portsmouth High School of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The photo shows the eleven players and their coach posed in front of the goalpost with a caption written in white across the bottom of the photo.

VINTAGE: Circa 1923.

SIZE: Approximately 8-1/8" in height and 10-1/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glass, photograph, wood frame, paper backing, metal hooks and wire.

ATTACHMENT: Wire with two eye hooks.

MARKINGS: PHOTO BY STAPLES and WALTER C. STAPLES PORTSMOUTH, N.H. stamp.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Portsmouth, New Hampshire collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBEX08 LFEX4/11 SECX6/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The photograph has been nicely preserved with one small tear on the top edge; frame has some very small spots of light wear.
